Mrs. Hammon had been in failing health since August and bedfast four months due to infirmities of age.
The body is at the Mansfield funeral home with arrangements pending.
Mrs. Hammon's husband to whom she was married in 1887 died in 1939.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George (Carrie) Link, where she died, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Sisco, Defiance, and Mrs. Harry (Anna) Steedman, Hudson, O.; two sons, Zerah Hammon, Defiance, and Ezra Hammon, Dorset, O.; 34 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Rohrs, Defiance; and three half brothers, Daniel Feeney and Frank Feeney, both of Defiance, and Michael Feeney, Toledo.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Earl Hammon, in 1944 and a daughter who died in infancy.
Mrs. Hammon was born in Paulding county on May 5, 1869. Her parents were Randall Elias and Margaret(Long) Dart.
