Daniel Asa was married in Wilkes Barre by the Rev J Richard Boyle, Methodist Minister, to Julia Lou Hauze. They lived for a while in Hazleton where he worked for a time in the photography business and carpentry. The family moved to Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, where they lived at 728 Walnut Street for many years. During the Depression Daniel Asa worked as a huckster.
Following Julia's death in 1943, Daniel Asa moved to Florida where he built a home and married his second wife, Cassie Mary Rush, nee Hood.. On his death in 1955 he was buried next to Julia in Fairview Cemetery.
