Born November 28, 1933 in Sanford, Florida, Frank embarked on a fishing career early in life, taking time off at age 17 to enlist in the U.S. Navy. He served his country honorably for eight years with part of that time at the height of the Korean War. When released he continued his passion as a Commercial Fisherman along the St. Johns River. He was a 20 year member of the Florida Commercial Fisherman Association and served a term as Chapter president. The only thing Frank loved more than fishing is his family.
He was the oldest of seven, being survived by four brothers and two sisters. Living local are Calvin, Roy, and Harold Peterson, Betty (husband Richard) Sanders, and Dorothy Parker. His brother Don Peterson lives in Texas but visits often. He has six grandchildren: "Jimmy" Kurth, Frankie Kurth (wife Amy), Mathew Palmer (wife Jenny), Chad Palmer, Phillip Johns (fiancée, Angie) and Bobbi Lee Curtin; and five great grandchildren.
