Mr. Potter was born Aug. 15, 1910 in Pierre, South Dakota. He was retired. He moved to Casa Grande three months ago from Pierre. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Pierre.
Survivors include his wife, Odessa, of Casa Grande; son, John Wilson Potter, and daughter, Patricia Ballard, both of Pierre, SD; brother, Henry Potter, of Austin, TX; sisters: Ann Hickey, of Pierre, SD, Ruth Frills, of Rapid City, SD, Doris McMurtrey and Lola Ackerman, both of Eugene, OR; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Cole and Maud Mortuary chapel, 110 W. Florence Blvd., for John P. Potter, who died Saturday in Hoemako Hospital. He was 65 years old.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the mortuary chapel. Rev. Loren Ridge, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
