THORA WATSON
Thora Watson, daughter of a pioneer family here, died at age 84 in Valley View Home Jan. 3.
Services are set at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in the First Lutheran Church with Rev. Bob Nilsen officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
A daughter of Hans and Oleanna Hopstad, Mrs. Watson was born in Norway. Her parents homesteaded in Valley County. She married Mark Watson in Glasgow and the couple had three children, Imo Ruth, Ronald and Warren. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Order of Eastern Star and Soroptimists.
Survivors include her daughter, Imo Ruth Maag of billings; a son, Ronald of Maryland; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark; by one son, Warren; three brothers, Joh, Peter and Haakan Hopstad; a sister, Magda; and a stepbrother, Hans.
