Professional Football Player. For a total of seven seasons (1993 to 1999), he played at the linebacker position in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Buffalo Bills. He was part of the Green Bay Packers Super Bowl winning team in 1996, which earned him his first Super Bowl Ring. Born in Hilton Head, South Carolina, Simmons attended Hilton Head High School and played collegiate football at the famed Clemson University. He was chosen by the Packers during the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft and appeared in 90 games, had 3 interceptions, and recorded 11.5 sacks. He was killed in a car accident while driving his mercedes at high speed on Interstate 70, near Independence, Missouri.
