In 1854 Moses was assistant civil engineer, and was district attorney for Green County, Wisconsin. Moses was a highly motivated, early enlistee in the Civil War.
Company C 3rd Regiment Wisconsin.
After being severely wounded in battle with a shot to the leg, he continued pursuit of the Confederates. Within hours, he received another wound, that took his life.
