Mrs. Sam'l Abbott will be taken to St. Lukes hospital today to be operated upon for cancer, from which she has long been a sufferer. Mrs. May Johnson is home on a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam'l Abbott, her school at Pagosa Springs having closed for the summer.

Mrs. Samuel Abbott, of Golden, mother of Mrs. Mae Johnson, died Tuesday at St. Luke's hospital. Denver. She was a pioneer, and several from Morrison attended the funeral,which occurred at the Christian church, Golden. Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
