Born at Foster's Point (now Weybridge), Random Island, Newfoundland.
His parents were Jacob Adey and Emma Ann "Amy" (Gulliford) Adey
He moved to Cambridge, MA, and, after marriage, to Medford, MA.
He built their house at 641 Fulton St, and finished it before the big depression.
They had 3 children.
He was killed instantly when a steel beam slipped from a crane, and hit him in the head.
