In 1841 Harrison County was formed from Jackson County and became the family's county of residence. In 1850 the family was living on Flint Creek. Jan 30, 1868, Amaziah married Nancy in Harrison County. Children: Serena married Gilbert Bond; Monroe died a child - Nancy was buried next to her baby boy Monroe in Cooper Cemetery; James married Mary Alby Cooley; Thaney married Azor Beland; John married Louisa Jane Dickerson; Christine married John Hezikiah Miles.
