Carrie was the daughter of Francis Thomas LORENTZ and Lena Rivers ALLEN LORENTZ and the granddaughter of Frances Sarah Ann MURRELL ALLEN CLICK CLEVENGER and William Wolf ALLEN, and the step-granddaughter of Samuel CLEVENGER. Carrie grew up in the Chico, Alvord and Park Springs area in Wise Co, Texas.

She married Lonzy Everett CLANCY on 5 Oct 1902 in Alvord, Wise County, Texas. They made their home in Willow, Greer Co, Oklahoma. She died of complications of childbirth slightly less than two months after the birth of Earl Howard Clancy. She was 28 years old. Earl Howard died 11 years later of appendicitis.

Carrie was much loved, and much mourned. Her family never recovered from her death. Lonzy, her husband, never remarried.

Carrie Eolivia was named for her father's sister that remained in Maryland.
