c. late 1940s. Virginia Huntter (middle row right in plaid shirt). Seated to her left wearing glasses is Patricia Desiderio. Patricia's husband, Capt. Reginald Desiderio, served with Virginia's husband Ray. Capt. Desiderio was KIA during the Korean War and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. The Desiderios and the Huntters were very close friends. This cropped group photo was one of many photos I found in an old album of Virginia's. This photo was from a luau party they attended at Ft. Ord, CA. All those attending the party were fellow soldiers of Ray's- a career soldier. I never knew them in life.
