Merle Montgomery.
Merle Montgomery, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Montgomery of Jamestown, Kansas, was born Nov. 18, 1897, died March 4, 1903, aged 5 years, 3 months and 16 days. Funeral services were held at the house conducted by the writer assisted by Rev. F.A. Colwell. Text, Matt. 12-14 But Jesus said "Suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me for suck is the Kingdom of Heaven." The body was laid to rest in the Jamestown cemetery.

Little Merle was a bright little darling, loved by all who knew her, but she has gone from this world of sorrow to that realm above where Jesus regins, the home of peace and love where Angels wait with sweetest strains, the Saints above.
