Funeral services for Marilyn Pearl Behrman, 15, were held at the Peace Lutheran Church, Finlayson, Monday, August 23 at 2 p.m. with Rev. W. J. Rittamel officiating. Casket bearers were: John Chesbrough, Michael Alm, Dean Brabec, Gordon Beck, Wayne Parvey and Mark Carlson. Miss Marjorie Alm was soloist and accompanist Miss Donna Dronen. Interment was in the Finlayson Finnish Lutheran Cemetery.

Marilyn Behrman was born at Finlayson September 2, 1949. She would have been in the 11th grade at Sandstone high school this fall. On Thursday evening, August 12, she was swimming with friends when she almost drowned. She was rushed to the Pine County Memorial Hospital at Sandstone, where she passed away Thursday, August 19, at 7:10 p.m.

Surviving are her stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Friesendahl, of Finlayson; four brothers, August of Marshall, Robert of Sturgeon Lake, Donald of Glendive, Montana, and Allen of Finlayson; one sister, (Betty Ann) Mrs. Roger Sungaard, of Walnut Grove. Arrangements by Hamlin Funeral Home, Finlayson.
