Charlotte was mostly raised in Tulsa where she graduated from Will Rogers High School, in 1955, her parents' and her home being at 817 S. New Haven, two blocks south of Roger's at Ninth Street. From there she attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Her grandaunt, Blanche Davenport, filled duties as House Mother, for a couple of years. Charlotte graduated from O. U. in 1959, but she stayed one year longer working on a masters' degree. Later she transferred to the University of Colorado. She taught in the local schools there in Boulder, CO, after having taught before a few years at Florence, CO. On March 31,1968, Charlotte married William Joseph Nichols in Palmer Lake, CO, at the Little Log Church. They resided at 2317 Flintridge Drive in Colorado Springs, her home when she died of cancer. The marriage brought no issue. She died in St. Anthony's Hospital, OKC. Charlotte was a patriot of the Republican form of Government which we lost with the War Between the States. She had a great interest in antique silverware and vintage movies and actors and a love for everyone's pets. She will be remembered as a bright person. The songs played at her gravesite were "Goin' Home" and "Dixie".
