Greenwich - The death of Thomas E. Clough, a life-long resident of this town, occurred last Thursday at his home on the North Greenwich road after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kinnin funeral home. Rev. Lewis Stewart, pastor of the Baptist church at Cossayuna, officiated. Interment was in the Greenwich cemetery.
Mr. Clough was born 81 years ago at Cossayuna, the son of Harriet Pratt and Thomas Clough. He had always lived in this town and was a successful farmer, retiring some time ago because of ill health. Mr. Clough was a member of the Cossayuna Baptist church, serving as deacon for many years.
Mr. Clough is survived by his wife, by one daughter, Mrs. Nina Bain of Argyle; one brother, Edwin C. Clough of Nebraska; a sister, Mrs. Alice Hutchens of Cossayuna. Three grandchildren, Mrs. Paul Gilchrist and Mrs. Harvey Randall, both of Argyle, and Thomas Clough, U.S. navy, and three great-grandchildren also survive.
