He was born February 12, 1942 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Elmer J. and Edna (Bunge) Schneider.

On December 17, 1966 he married Sally Meyer at Salem UCC in Plymouth. The couple made their home in Elkhart Lake and Plymouth before moving to Kiel in 2008.

Jerry had worked in the construction field until being employed by United Feeds for 30 years, retiring in 2000.

Jerry spent most of his spare time with his family that he dearly loved, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed following NASCAR racing, and was passionate about trying to beat his relatives playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Sally; his beloved basset hound, Buddy; three daughters, Billie Jo (Bob) Frick of Kenosha, Dawn (Gregory) Schaefer of Wilmot, WI, Charlotte (Paul) Siech of Plymouth, Michael (Jen) Schneider of Waldo; nine grandchildren, Rich (Carrie) Frick, Paul Frick, Brandon and Alicia Ostermann, Samuel Schaefer and Cassandra, Caitlynne, Christian and Pamela Siech; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Carlee Frick; two sisters, Cindy Ford of Sheboygan and Sharon (LeRoy) Schmahl of Sheboygan Falls; his mother-in-law, Irene Sass of Rural Plymouth; one sister-in-law, Millie Erickson of Greenbush; one brother-in-law, Roy (Julie) Meyer of Plymouth, also numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lester Erickson.
