William Henry Saltzman, 67, passed away at his home in Mount Vernon, on Monday, January 28, 1935 of respiratory failure. He was born Aug 28, 1868 in New Harmony Township to Elias and Nancy Perkins Saltzman. He grew up and spent most of his time between New Harmony and Mount Vernon working on farms. He married his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Kincheloe on July 2, 1890 in Mount Vernon. He later settled in Mount Vernon and fathered 11 children: Beulah, Ida Rae, Mervil Clara, Sylvia, Horace Bedford, Jesse, Vogel Kincheloe, Harold, Amy, Yettive, and Eldon. He spent alot of time talking to people in politics and had a very good understanding of it, however he never ran for any office. Him and his wife were very well known by many generations of Posey County families and are known to be one of the many pioneers of Posey County. He is survived by his children, his wife Sarah, and 27 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elias and Nancy Saltzman, brother John T Saltzman, and granddaughter Sarah Jacklin Hancock.
Services will be held at Weisinger Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with graveside services at Beech Grove Cemetery in Grafton, Lynn Twp.
