Marianne Maddison, 84, of Neptune, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in Mannheim, Germany and came to the US in 1956. Marianne lived with her family in NY, NJ and Germany while her husband Murry was in the US Army. She retired from Macy's and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and knitting. Marianne was predeceased by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Murry Maddison, her sister Elsa Gund and her brother Carl Adam. She is survived by her daughter Lilian (Maddison) Clarke, her grandsons Shawn Clarke and Jeremiah Clarke and his wife Jennifer, her great grandchildren Indya, Jeremiah Jr., Farrah, and Joshua Clarke, her nephew Hans Gund of Ketsch, Germany who held a very special place in her heart, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM at the Ely Funeral Home 3316 Hwy. 33 Neptune, NJ 07753. The interment will follow in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hamilton Fire Dept. PO Box 225 Neptune, NJ 07753.
