Mahlon was the second child and son of Claude Everett Clancy and Pearl Courtright Clancy. He was one of four children. He married Wanda Joyce Bynam. They were the parents of two daughters. He served his country in the Air Force as a medic.

He lived with ALS for 17 years and died of complications of stomach cancer. He was lovingly and carefully attended by his wife Wanda Joyce and his two daughters. He was a Minister of the Church of Christ.

CLANCY,
Louis Mahlen, 62, of MWC, died March 5, 1995. Born July 9, 1932 to Claude E and Pearl Clancy near Perkins, Payne Co, OK. In 1958, he married Wanda Joyce Bynum in OKC.

He graduated from Central H. S. in OKC, Class of 1951. After 10 years in the US Air Force, he attended Okla. Christian College and Central State College in OKC, the Reppert School of Auctioneering in Decatur, IN and was a 1973 graduate of Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock, TX.

He was a medic in the Air Force, then worked as Store Mgr. and Auctioneer in the furniture and antiques business in Denver, Co, and OKC, serving all the while in various capacities as a faithful, dedicated worker in Churches of Christ(Song Director, Deacon, Teacher, Preacher). In 1973, he entered the ministry full time, serving churches in MO, OK, and TX until he was forced to retire from public service by ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). For 17 years, he was progressively incapacitated by ALS and finally by cancer, but continued to be an inspiration to all thru his faith and humor and concern for others.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Joyce of the home; 2 daughters Kelley Heather Clausen of Heron Lake, MN, Dana Wren Wicks of OKC; a brother, RC Clancy of AR; 2 sisters, Wanda Carolyn Kinsey of Durant, OK and Sandra Lee Niblett of OKC; six grandchildren, Daniel, Jacqueline, Justin Louis, Kera, Michele and Samantha; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. Services 10:00 a.m. Wed, March 8, 1995 in the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Buried in Memorial Park Cemetery.
