BENTON, Ky. — John Calvin Fooks, 47, of Benton died Thursday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.
He attended Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. He worked as a carpenter, was a member of the Possum Trot-Sharpe Fire Department, and attended the Eastern Kentucky Technical and Rehabilitation School.
He is survived by his parents, Sam Fooks and Janice Williams Fooks of Benton; two sisters, Carol Hinton of Gainesville, Fla., and Mary Fooks of Brattleboro, Vt.; and two brothers, Sam Fooks and Charles Fooks, both of Benton.
Services were Sunday at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Interment was at Fooks Cemetery in Benton.
Collier Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
