s/o Robert & Ann(a)
h/o Frances Ellen Dyer
The following info is from Find A Grave Contributor: Steve Gilchrist:
1. Civil War Miltary Records
Sergeant Co B 14th Me Inf
Death date given on Albion (Gorham?) Town Death Record as 14 Nov 1864 in contradiction with headstone. Died of Disease either in Louisiana or Virginia depending on actual year of death
2. I believe this Cyrus H Libbey is not the son of Robert & Anna Libbey, but rather another soldier from Maine with the same name. 1850 & 1860 Census records for Freedom, Waldo, Maine have a Cyrus (born 1825), s/o Robert & Anna, husband of Frances. How did he end up here with no other kin?
