Myrtie Carolyn Clem Sloan, age 73, of McClain Drive, Lexington, Kentucky, retired Bourbon County Hospital employee, widow of Cecil B. Clem and Bethel Sloan, died Sunday, November 30, 2008, at her home. She was born April 26, 1935, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John Roland and Sarah Alice Hisle Dyer. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, in Winchester.

She is survived by: three sons, Johnny Ray (Jo Ann) Clem, of Winchester, Cecil Carl Clem, of Lexington, and Douglas Wayne (Lisa) Clem, of Lexington; two brothers, Henry (Norma) Dyer, of Lexington and Sam (Christine) Dyer, of Winchester; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Catherine Blair Warner, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Rev. Jeffrey Ryder, with burial in the Clintonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
