Negro Woman Is Dead
Miss Anna E Abbott, 42 colored, sister of Mrs. J. E. Johnson of Muncie died at 7:45 o'clock last evening in the Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. Miss Abbott was well known here having had charge of colored recreation in McCulloch Park for three years at one time.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Sunday morning in the A.M.E. Church at Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Paulding, O.
Surviving besides Mrs. Johnson is another sister, Miss Norah Johnson of Chicago, and three brothers, James Abbott of Fort Wayne, and Louis and Alvey Abbott of Haviland.
Note: There is a disagreement about her age. She was either 42 or 53 at death.
