Jacob "Red" Bayer, Jr., age 83, of Huntingburg, Indiana, died July 5, 2009 at Huntingburg. He was born on August 19, 1925 in SIberia Indiana to Jacob and Bertha Bayer. He was a retired custodian for Maple Park Elementary School, Huntingburg Indiana and was a member of the contenders of Faith Holiness Church in Otwell. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Geneva (Denton) Bayer, who died on February 9, 2002; one daughter, Brenda Lubbehusen; two brothers, Floyd and Irvin Bayer; and one sister, Pauline Lane. He is survived by: Two daughters, Rachel York-Meyers and Sarah James; One son Phillip Bayer; Four brothers, Donald, Ronald, Chester and Levinus Bayer; Four sisters, Tilley Sturgeon, Kathleen Crawford, Jeannie Underhill, and Ardella Pulley; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
