James F. Aleshire, 71, of Cross Lanes died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a retired supervisor from FMC, a member of Westvaco Sportsman Club and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are wife, Florence Aleshire; son, James Lee "Leo" of Richmond, KY; sister, Mildred Stricker of West Virginia; brothers, Paul E. of Taylor, MI, Richard of Detroit, MI, Clarence W. Jr. of Comfort; two grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cooke Funeral Home, Nitro, with the Rev. William Layne Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
