He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Audie Carter of Montgomery; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Penny of Alexandria, Mrs. Ora Rieaser [sic Reiser] of Westlake, Mrs. Ethel Trouard of Lake Charles, Mrs. Hazel Hale of Verda; two brothers, Eugene Carter of Bunkie, Barney Carter of Winnfield; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at 3 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Mott officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
