Charles W. Henkel, 83, of Regent Street, a retired funeral director for several funeral homes over his career, died Monday at home. Mr. Henkel, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in New York City and moved to this area in 1970 from New Hyde Park, N.Y. Survivors include a son, Martin, Jacksonville; a daughter, Judy Jones, Edgewater; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Shannon Maloney, Port Orange, is in charge.
