Roger Andrew Picard, 77, died on Nov. 17, 2008, at the McGraw Hospice Center. He served as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force, earning 14 air medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross during the Vietnam conflict. He is survived by his wife, Judith; his children, Robert M. Picard (Nitza), Thomas M. Picard (Donna), Mary Picard, Kimberly E. Pierce (Matt), James B. Tasker (Kelly), Christopher R. Tasker, Edward S. Picard (Marly); and grandchildren Reif Picard, Machen Picard, Amelia and Ana Haney, Joshua and Sarah Pierce, Andrew, Danielle, Ryan and Tyler Tasker, Ali and Robbie Tasker, and Alex and Nettie Picard. A funeral service will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Augustine. Interment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Endowment Fund, 215 St. George St., St. Augustine, FL 32084 or Community Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
