MULVANE - Paige, Darren L., 65, retired SWB Manager Design Engineer, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. A beloved and treasured husband, father, brother and Papa. Born in Council Grove, moved to Wichita in 1952 and graduated from Southeast in 1962. He served in Korea as a member of the US Air Force. Darren enjoyed everything outdoors; hunting, fishing, driving his John Deere tractor and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Delores Paige. Survivors include: wife, Marsha, Mulvane; children, Brian (Angel) Paige, Cristi (Travis) Shull, all of Dallas, TX, Jennifer (Gary) Lee, Valley Center, Mindy (Kenny) Johnson, Derby, Cindy Smith, Brant Burel, both of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Courtney, Aaron, Caitlin, Coby, Carson, Dekota, Makayla, Emery, Luke, Landry, Cayden; great granddaughter, Paige; brothers, Marqus (Barb) Paige, Holiday Island, AR, Toby L. (Cathy) Paige, Burlington; nephews, Taylor and Ryan; nieces, Stephanie, Jackie, Kitty and Amanda; sister-in-law, Kay (Randy) Strassburg, Wichita. Funeral service 2pm Saturday, September 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 611 S. Erie, Wichita; graveside will follow at Mulvane Cemetery.
