Lola Mae Dowell, 78, passed away August 30, 2009 in Tucson, AZ, after a brave battle with cancer.

Survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Earl of Tucson; two sons, Joseph Earl (Iona) of Bellingham, WA and Danny Lee (Gina) of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Meagan, Alyssa and Mason; one brother, Vernon Albright of Milton, KS; two sisters, Letha Stanton of Sylvia, KS and Gail Ranauro of Lakeland, FL.

Lola was born on a farm near Pretty Prairie, KS on September 13, 1930 to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Albright. She graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1948.

For over 39 years she worked in various banks before retiring from First Interstate Bank in 1988.

In 1969, she joined The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hutchinson, Kansas and was a faithful member.

She enjoyed helping the Kindergarten and Cradleroll Classes in Desert Valley and Midvale Park Seventh Day Adventist Church. She served as a Treasurer for two years and cared for the church and school for over three years.

Lola loved flowers and enjoyed working in her yard. She loved to collect poems and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

Services will be held at Midvale Park Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2071 W. Drexel Rd., on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lola's name can be made to the Arizona Cancer Society.
