According to history, Noah's headstone is incorrect. He was born in Lafayette County (Calhoun County was not founded until 1852) and born in 1844, not 1848. He was listed in Lafayette County 1850 Census as 6 years old, 1860 as 16 and Civil War Oath of Allegiance on June 12,1865, at age 20. If he had be born in 1848 this would have made him 14 years old when he enlisted in the Civil War.
