Mrs. Abernathy was the daughter of Zackary and Sarah Anna Carden Dyer. She was the second wife of Milton Thomas Abernathy. Sarah Anna and M. T. Abernathy were married in Giles County, Tennessee in 1908.

Mrs. Abernathy Passes At Home

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Anna Dyer Abernathy, 79, will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home chapel.

Mrs. Abernathy died at her home on Decatur 3 about 9:13 a.m. today following a two weeks illness.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Owen, Pulaski 4; Mrs. Sadie Mae Rogers, Decatur 3; three brothers, Zachary Taylor Dyer, Dallas, Texas; W.M. Dyer, Quincy, Fla; Thomas Dyer, Odessa, Mo.

She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  She has been living in Morgan County for several years.  Formerly she lived at Pulaski.

The rites will be conducted by Rev. I.M. Rogers.  Burial under Brown's direction will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
