Dr. John R. Rice was a well-known Christian fundamentalist, evangelist and publisher of The Sword of The Lord. Their headquarters is in Murfreesboro TN where a street is named in his honor. He was married to Lloys McClure Cooke in 1921 and they had six daughters who, with their husbands, all entered into full-time Christian service. He is interred at The Bill Rice Ranch a few miles from Murfreesboro TN. Bill Rice is John's brother.
