Obituary of Irma Luella Cuevas Smith
Irma Luella Cuevas Smith, age 82, of Gulfport passed away on June 30, 2008 in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edlynn Clayton Smith, Sr.; her parents, John Olar Cuevas and Lile D. Cuevas; her son, Edlynn Clayton Smith, Jr.; four sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Joy Smith Parker and her husband, Clyde C., of Gulfport; her two sons, Langwood Ray Smith and John David Smith, Sr. and his wife, Sandra, all of Gulfport; and was loved and will be missed by her ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
As a child, she spent much time on the Wolf River and at Belles Ferry where she helped her father pull the ferry across the river. She was a member of Biloxi River Baptist Church and enjoyed playing and singing gospel music.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Biloxi River Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Biloxi River Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Dobson Holliman Cemetery.
