She was born on June 18, 1921 in Galion to Walter and Ethel (Hershman) Karnes. On Aug. 3, 1940 she married William F. Schwartz and he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1966.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan E. Harrison of Kenton and Mary Anne Schwartz of Canton; three grandchildren; Michelle Harrison, Patrick (Charmaine) Schwartz and Melissa Schwartz; a great-grandson, Dylan Harrison; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Schwartz of Kenton and two brothers, Robert of Galion and Walter of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by a son, William W. Schwartz and two brothers, Charles and John.
She was a housewife and a graduate of Galion High School.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church in Kenton by Father Anthony Dinovo. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery in Kenton.
