She had been involved with the World Wide Church of God for the last seven years.
Mrs. Woods was formerly employed by the Maine State Prison for 10 years. She was also employed with the state Dept. of Human Services for 5 years and the C.E.D. office for 2 years, both of Rockland.
Surviving are three children, John C. Ames Jr. of Tenants Harbor, Jean Elaine Stewart of Waldoboro and Jacqueline A. Thompson of Appleton; 4 grandchildren, Andrew A., Heidi Joan, and Michael H. Ames, and Jesse Boardman Thompson; sisters, Marlene Vance of Pittsfield, Nancy Martin of Cambridge and Barbara Capehart of Arcadia, OK; brother, Ora "Red" Bennett of Albion.
