John Chrzanowski, Oil Pensioner, Dies - Was Organizer of Mt. Carmel; Rites Tomorrow
John Chrzanowski (Shanosky), one of the organizers of the parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, died at his home, 289 Avenue A, on Friday. He was 67 years old and was born in Poland. He lived here for 50 years and was a pensioner of the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey.
Mr. Chrzanowski is survived by his wife, Stephania Klobukowsky Chrzanowski; two sons, Alphonse of North Bridge, and Edward of South Orange; also two daughters, Mrs. Helen Haff of Little Falls, and Mrs. Caroline Pierce of Glen Gardens [sic]; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. There are also two brothers surviving, Alexander and Zygmond Chrzanowski, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Murawski [sic] and Mrs. Stephania Ustik [sic].
Funeral services, directed by Stanley Fryczynski, 190 Avenue E, will be held tomorrow morning with a solemn high mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 o'clock. Burial will be in a family plot in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
