Also surviving are two sons, Donald McCullough and Darrin (Sharon) McCullough; one daughter, Kristen (Joe) George; four grandchildren, Savannah McCullough, Colin McCullough, Katherine George and Zachary George; stepmother, Ruby McCullough; stepfather, John Adair; two brothers, Scott Adair and Jamie McCullough; and five sisters, Marla Shinn, Patricia (Dan) Cortelyou, Kim (Mike) Johnson, Tana (Scott) Harms and Kelly (Mark) Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald McCullough and Betty (Young) McCullough Adair.
He attended Macomb schools and Western Illinois University. He served in the United States Army as a specialist in the 505th Signal Company during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a transmission technician with GTE of Illinois. He later moved to Indiana in 1984 and joined GTE Mobilnet as a cellular engineer. He then moved to Houston, Texas, a year later to continue with GTE Mobilnet as a manager. During his years with GTE (later Verizon Wireless), he spent one year in Argentina and two years in Mexico City before retiring in 2000.
