Pioneer resident died in rest home.
Funeral services for James Albert Henry, 217 East Sixth (Bristow)
were held at 2 pm Tuesday with Reverend A.S. Day officiating.
Mr. Henry died Sunday in a Depew rest home. He was born in
Ft. Scott, Kansas July 4, 1865, and came to Bristow from
Arkansas about 65 years ago. He was a retired farmer. His wife
preceeded him in death many years ago. Survivors are one daughter
Gertrude Henry Higgs, Fresno, California; a brother, Tip Henry, who
lives east of Bristow, and four grandchildren. Burial was in Stroud
cemetery with Bates Funeral home officiating.

According to the cemetery records at the county
clerk's office at Stroud, he is buried in block 4 lot
50 grave 1 (Jessie O. 8-6-1905 – 10-6-07 is grave 1
N: Jessie B. Henry, wife of J.A 5-20-1880 – 8-18-1905)
in grave B. The next lot (49) has Alley graves in it.
I found a marriage record in Lincoln county for James
A. Henry & Jessie Alley in 1899) He had married Hattie
Gibson in 1885 at Washington co. Arkansas prior to moving to Oklahoma.(do not know where/when she died). Her sister Clemmie Gibson was married to James' brother Loftis.
