ADOLPH DANNEFFEL BURIED AT KEELER

Following a short prayer service at the Keesey-Hutchins funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, final rites were conducted at 3:30 at the Keeler church for Adolph P. Danneffel, 76, who died Sunday in his home near Keeler. The Rev. E. L. Kenney, pastor of the Zion Evangelical church, Bainbridge, officiated and burial was in the Keeler cemetery.

Mr. Danneffel was born in Keeler township November 22, 1866, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Danneffel, early day Keeler settlers. He was well known, having spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. Death followed a long period of ill health, but came unexpectedly at 8:00 o'clock Sunday morning. A brother, Albert, died last March in Watervliet and another brother, Frank, of Benton Harbor, in May, 1942.

Besides the widow, Olive, deceased leaves one son, Lloyd, at home; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William, of Benton Harbor, and Samuel, of Watervliet; also many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Two grandsons now in army training camps in Texas were here to attend the services. They are Pvt. Lloyd Danneffel of Camp Hood, and Pfc. James Danneffel, stationed at Camp Maxie. The former was inducted into the service only six weeks ago, while the latter has been in training for more than a year.
