Richard and Abbie has 4 children: George Alvin, Charles Richard, Mary Agnes, and Abby Isabella.
In 1868-1873, Richard is listed in the Quincy directory as living on the corner of Hancock and Savil Ave. His tailor shop is at 77 Hancock, in Quincy.
Richard was admitted to the Quincy Masonic Lodge on 6 December, 1866, where he remained a member until 2 October, 1873.
In 1873, they moved from Quincy, Massachusetts to Santa Barbara, California.
In Santa Barbara, the family lived on San Pascual Street.
On their 50th wedding anniversary, February 4, 1896, Richard gave Abbie a new home, large enough to accommodate all the grandchildren. The new house was located at 1720 Bath Street.
