She was born Dec. 14, 1885 in the Garrison community near Manhattan. She lived in Topeka many years. She lived in Kansas City, Kan. from 1963 until she moved to John Knox Village. She was executive secretary of the Kansas Cosmetologists Association from 1955 to 1966. She was a member of Roeland Park United Methodist Church and was a charter member and past president of the Topeka Hairdressers Assoc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Adams.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Margaret Adams, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Mrs. Alta May Miller, Tempe, Ariz.; 2 brothers, Orlie A. Pierson. Salina, and Lawrence Pierson, Escondido, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Laura Covert, Topeka; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
