Farkas was a hungarian name for wolf and it fitted him well. He was a huge dog, standing on his hind legs, we were eye to eye (i am 5'3") and he weighed over 165 pounds. He was a german shepard and because of his size we think he had some wolf in him also.

He was an awesome dog. He was awesome with my nieces, often giving them "doggy back" rides. When my nieces would fall, he would be right there licking their wounds and trying to help. He protected them.

He was also very territorial also of who he lets in to our home. He had many different barks for people he liked, disliked and hated. I certainly miss him.
