Joseph C. Melton, 45, of Springfield, died at 3:56 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, in his home.
Joseph was born Jan. 2, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Joseph and Louise Melton. He was a sales representative for K-Mart, and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Kickapoo High school.
He was preceded in death by his father, in 1995.
He is survived by his mother, Louise; a sister, Judy Grant; and two nephews, Jeff and Kelsey Grant, all of Springfield.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with Dennis Smith and Ray Sullins, officiating. Burial will be in Highlandville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, in the the funeral home.
