The funeral for Myron D. May, 85, was Jan. 18 at Central Christian Church, Enid. The Rev. John McLemore and the Rev. Kevin Arensman officiated. Burial was in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements were by Ladusau Evans Funeral Home, Enid. He was born June 2, 1917, near Hitchcock to Cessna and Mamie Dickinson May and died Jan. 8, 2003 at OU Enid Hospital. He grew up in Hitchcock area, graduating from Marshall High School. He attended Oklahoma A&M. He married Daretta Thomas, June 23, 1938 in Enid. He served in the US Army with the 35th Division, participating in five campaigns in the European Theatre during World War II. He returned to Enid after his discharge to work at Vance Air Force Base. He married Phillis Templeton Sept. 15, 1972 in Stillwater. He retired from the accounting department at Vance in 1974. He was a life member of Men's Extension Garden Club. Surviving are his wife Phillis; two daughters, Deanne Blackwood, Plano, Texas and Cheryl Wilson, Irving, Texas; two stepsons, Richard Templeton, Miami, Fla., and Neal Templeton, Edmond and six grandchildren.
