GALESBURG -- Carl O. Lindberg, 77, 4377 Harbison Ave., LaMesa, Calif., formerly of Galesburg, died at home Dec. 30.
He was born Dec. 20, 1911, in Galesburg, the son of Peter W. and Elna Nelson (Nelsdotter) Lindberg. He married Shirley Watters on July 4, 1937 in Galesburg.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Clark Lindberg, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Nancy Lindberg Ohlback, San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Elna Fosburg, Galesburg, and Martha Swedlund, Barneveld, Wis.; one brother, Paul M. Lindberg, Glendora, Calif., and two granddaughters.
He was in the sheet metal business in Galesburg, and was active in the First Baptist Church. He moved to California in 1948.
Graveside service will be Wednesday in ElCamino Cemetery, San Diego, Calif., with the Rev. Jack Lindberg officiating. Masonic rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, the family said.
