Funeral services for Mr. Abner V. "Pete" Turner, age 96 of Manchester will be conducted at 10am, Tuesday, October 25 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Nash officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the Turner family will be from 5pm until 7pm, Monday at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr. Turner passed peacefully Saturday surrounded by his family.
Mr. Turner was born in Twin City, Georgia, the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Ada Johnson Turner. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was also retired from Batesville Casket Company in Manchester. Along with his wife, he was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Manchester. In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Shellie, Exfer, Harley and A.J. Turner, and by 3 sisters, Elmer Allen, Maybell Morgan and Annie Mae Edenfield. Mr. Turner is survived by:

Two grandsons- Andrew Turner and Daniel Turner, both of Manchester
