Throughout his life, Robert worked as a truck driver, retiring from the Richland Fishery.

Robert had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Grace and Glory Tabernacle in Lebanon. He was an avid reader of the Bible and enjoyed watching religious services and programs on television.
