Grant Mays, widely know throughout the city and particularly to residents of Mt. Gretna as "Rudy" Mays, died suddenly about 11:30 o'clock Wed. morning, at his home at Mt. Gretna. A heart stroke, super induced by acute, indigestion is ascribed as the cause of his demise Mr. Mays was one of the pioneer electricians of the city when the Weimers introduced electric lighting at Gretna and surrounding places. Mr. Mays was employed as superintendent of the company, and was in charge of the generating plant. When the Metropolitan Edison company bought the property and franchise about two years ago Mr. Mays was retained, and he was discharging his duties as superintendent when he was stricken. Besides his wife, nee Ida Ebur, he leaves two children, Ebur Mays, of this city, and Edward Mays, of Palmyra. [Lebanon Semi Weekly News, May 12, 1927, Page 6]
